The work is concerned with a
formulation and computational aspects of an elasto-plastic model for thin
shells. Attention is given to the situations where strains remain small,
although continuum displacements and rotations are not restricted. A von Mises
yield criterion with isotropic hardening is adopted in constitutive description
of elasto-plastic material. The finite element formulation is based on a four
noded element. The main objective of the present approach - namely the
simulation of failures of thin elasto-plastics typically associated with
buckling type instabilities and the simulation of bending dominated shell
problems resulting in formation of plastic hinges - is illustrated with two
examples. For such situations this model is expected to provide accurate
description of the physical phenomena
Članek predstavlja matematični in
računski model za tanke elastoplastične lupine. Pozornost je namenjena
problemom, kjer specifične deformacije ostanejo majhne, čeprav pomiki in zasuki
telesa niso omejeni. Za opis konstitutivnih elastoplastičnih enačb je privzet
von Misesov kriterij tečenja z izotropnim utrjevanjem. Formulacija po MKE je
zasnovana na štirivozliščnem elementu. Dva primera ilustrirata osnovni namen
prikazanega pristopa. Ta je simulacija porušitev tankih elastoplastičnih lupin,
ki so pogosto povezane z uklonsko nestabilnostjo ter simulacija upogibno
prevladujočih problemov, ki vodijo k nastanku plastičnih členkov. Takrat lahko
od predstavljenega modela pričakujemo zanesljiv opis fizikalnega pojava
