| Povzetek: |
A parametric study of the inelastic seismic response of idealised
single-story asymmetric buildings has been performed. All models included load
resisting elements in both orthogonal directions. The main objective was to
compare the results obtained by uni- and bi-directional ground motion.
Preliminary results, based on a very limited number of test models, indicate
that fair estimates of the relevant maximum response quantities can be obtained
by performing two independent uni-directional analyses and combining the results
by the SRSS rule. This conclusion, if confirmed in future studies, enables a
simple extension of simplified nonlinear analyses, based on pushover analyses,
to asymmetric building structures [COBISS.SI-ID 684385]
