Povzetek: The paper investigates the nonlinear behavior of asymmetric multistorey frame-wall buildings subjected to horizontal loading. Thirteen building layouts with different positions of load resisting elements were subjected to monotonically increasing lateral loading applied at the center of masses. Within a parametric study the strength, the displacements and the ductility demand of elements for different asymmetric buildings are compared with results obtained for the symmetric building. The analyses were performed with the computer program for simplified push-over analysis of buildings that was recently developed at the University of Ljubljana. The results obtained with asimplified method are compared with the results of a general 3D nonlinear computer program (program CANNY-E) [COBISS.SI-ID 405089]
