In the paper a
simplified, yet effective method for 3D push-over analysis is used to examine
the effect of stiffness redistribution in the floor plan. Firstly, the
mathematical model and analysis method are briefly summarized. Secondly, the
parametric study of thirteen different variants of the same building is
presented and the effect of different stiffness distribution on the response of
