In the paper a comprehensive, though relatively simple
non-linear method for the seismic damage analysis of structures (the N2 method)
i described. The basis features of the method are: the use of two separate
mathematical models, the application of the response spectrum approach, the
pushover analysis, and the use of a damage model which includes cumulative
damage. The method yields results of reasonable accuracy provided that the
structure oscillates predominatly in the first mode. As an example for the
application of the method a four-story reinforced concrete frame building is
analyzed
V članku je prikazana N2 metoda za določanje poškodovanosti
konstrukcij pri potresni obtežbi. Metoda daje rezultate ustrezne natančnosti, če
konstrukcija niha pretežno v osnovni nihajni obliki. Kot primer uporabe je
analizirana štirietažna armiranobetonska okvirna konstrukcija [COBISS.SI-ID 314721]
