An analysis combines heat and mass transport with the calculation of
thermal stresses due to non-uniform temperature distribution is presented
for a concrete wall exposed to a short duration high intensity fire
scenario. The mathematical formulation of simultaneous heat and mass
transfer is based on the averaging procedure over a representative
elementary volume of the porous medium, and the calculation of the thermal
stresses assumes elastic strains only. Particular attention is given to the
effect upon the wall response of the modulus of elasticity changes induced
by temperature, which, as the results indicate, have a pronounced influence
upon the stress distribution in a fire-exposed wall. The results also
indicate that thermal stresses higher than those resulting from vapour
trapped within the material may develop in concrete walls exposed to fire
conditions. V članku je prikazana analiza betonske stene,
izpostavljene požaru. Analiza temelji na kombiniranem modelu simultanih
toplotnih in masivnih pretokov in toplotnih napetosti zaradi neenakomerne
porazdelitve temperature v prerezu stene. Izbrani model za požar je SDHI
(short duration high intensity) tipa. Rezultati kažejo, da so toplotne
napetosti zelo velike v primerjavi s pornimi pritiski v betonu med požarom.
