Teaching and learning of
structural engineering has to be redesigned. The project-based,
experienced-based and team oriented teaching and learning should be introduced.
These new ways of teaching can be enchanced by using different capabilities of
information technology. The problems and possible solutions in redesign of
teaching and learning in structural engineering are summarized in the paper.
Some case studies performed at the University of Ljubljana are presented in some
