Povzetek: The paper presents some aspects of the refined analysis of multilayered composite plates and shells. On the side of the refined shell theory we adopt a model based on a zig-zag (layer-wise linear) variations of displacement field trough the thickness, and on a Reissner`s mixed variational formulation which allows an introduction of independent traverse shear fields in each layer and an inforcement of the interlaminar shear stress continuity. On the side of the finite element approximation we use a new four-noded mixed finite element on the basis of assumed strain variational approach [COBISS.SI-ID 156007]
