In the paper the
seismic response of selected 4-storey R/C frame building designed according to
Eurocodes 2 and 8 is presented. Three different structural variants are
investigated: 1)symmetric variant, 2)mass eccentric variant with the same
reinforcement as symmetric building and 3)redesigned mass eccentric variant
considering mass eccentricity. The seismic response is presented in terms of
displacements, story drifts and ductility factors for edge frames and for
selected points of the structure. The comparison of the effect of different
