Obrazloženi so osnovni principi določanja velikosti računskih
potresnih sil v predpisih. Ugotovljeno je, da so potresne sile močno reducirane,
saj sta implicitno upoštevani rezervna nosilnost in duktilnost konstrukcij. Zato
je potrebna previdnost pri novih konstrukcijskih sistemih, kjer teh rezerv
izkustveno ne poznamo. Povsem napačna pa je uporaba reduciranih potresnih sil po
predpisih za projektiranje neduktilnih detajlov ter slabo zasnovanih
konstrukcij, ki običajne duktilnosti in rezervne nosilnosti nimajo
The
basic principles which have been used to determine the level of the design
seismic forces in codes are explained. It is concluded that the design forces
are strongly reduced due to the ductility and overstrength of structures.
Caution should be taken, therefore, when new structural systems with unknown
ductility and overstrength are designed. In any case the reduced seismic forces
in codes should not be used to design nonductile elements and poorly conceived
structures which have no usual reserves in ductility and overstrength
