Načrtovanje prometne in komunalne infrastrukture postaja vse bolj interdisciplinarno delo. Ne le, da v procesu načrtovanja sodelujejo mnoge stroke. Načrtovanje je vse bolj sestavni del enovitega procesa, ki ga imenujemo življenski cikel objekta. O tem se danes v svetu veliko govori in razmišlja. Skladno s tem trendom se intenzivno razvijajo informacijske tehnologije, ki omogočajo povezovanje strok in posameznih faz življenskega cikla objekta: načrtovanja, gradnje in vzdrževanja.
V prispevku predstavljamo pomembne tehnološke gradnike, ki omogočajo tako povezovanje. Autodesk-ov program Civil 3D je tipičen primer razvojne platforme, ki poenostavlja sodelovanje med strokami. CAD programska orodja se da danes kvalitetneje povezovati z GIS sistemi brez izgube časa in podatkov. Vse to skupaj, podkrepljeno z novimi dosežki na področju 3D načrtovanja in vizualizacij, pomeni bistveni napredek glede na rešitve, ki smo jih poznali doslej.

Infrastructure design, building and maintenance integration |
| Abstract: |
Urban infrastructure design is more and more an interdisciplinary job. Not only that many different specialists from various engineering fields collaborate during the design process. Design is becoming an integral part of the infrastructure lifecyle. There are many discussions about this topic in the civil engineering world today. In parallel with this trend new IT technologies are emerging, which integrate various engineering fields and infrastructure lifecyle phases: design, building and maintenance.
In this article the technologies are presented, which enable this integration. Civil 3D is an Autodesk product, a typical example of the development platform and a solution for the collaboration between different engineering fields. Today we can better integrate CAD and GIS data than ever before, without time-consuming processes and without data loss. These new technologies, together with the rapid 3D design and visualization development, represent a signifficant advance in comparison with the existing solutions.
