V knjigi so zbrane
rešene naloge s slovenskih srednješolskih tekmovanj iz računalništva v letih od
l977 do l987. Rešitve so zbrane v posamezna poglavja v tematiki, ki jo
obravnavajo: preproste in računske naloge, rekurzivne funkcije, urejanje in
razporejanje, grafe, krmiljenje procesov, računalniško grafiko ter drugačne
naloge. Vsako poglavje začenja uvod, ki podaja skupne podrobnosti rešitev v
njem. Uvodi in komentarji, ki dopolnjujejo rešitve, slednje vsajajo v širše
področje, v katero naloga sodi in prikazujejo nekatere od problemov, ki
pripeljejo do formulacije naloge. Programi, ki spremljajo rešitve, prikazujejo
osnovne značilnosti dobrega stila programiranja. Podrobnejša analiza, ki
ilustrira nekatere od rešitev, pa dokazuje, da je za dobro programiranje
potrebno ne le znanje programskega jezika, nekaj dobre volje in kanec zdrave
pameti, ampak še mnogo, mnogo več.
The book compiles solved problems
from the high-school computer science competitions in Slovenia. The solutions
are grouped by their subject into the following chapters: easy problems,
comoputing, recursive functions, sorting and arranging, graphs, process control
in real-time, computer graphics and other problems. Each chapter begins with an
introduction, giving the common details of the solutions that follow in
chronological order. The introductions and the themselves, embody the answers
into a wider realm from which the problem originates, and reveal some of the
background, that led to the formulation of the exercise. The programs,
accompanying the solutions, indicate the esential characteristics of the proper
programming style. The detailed analyses, accompanying some of the solutions,
indicate that perfect programming requires not only the knowledge of a
programming language, a bit of good will and a little of common sence, but quite
